Ski Machines

They’re maybe not quite as well-known as treadmills, rowing machines or exercise bikes, but ski machines have become a favourite for functional fitness athletes.

Originally built to simulate cross-country skiing (quite niche, yes, but effective!) the ski machine is now used as a prominent workout station in HYROX races, which explains the popularity increase in recent years. Obviously, the ski machine is a cardio heavyweight, but it’s also excellent at helping to build muscular strength too.

Helpfully, ski machines stand vertically, so you don’t have to worry as much about not having the room for one. You can choose to fix the ski machine to the wall, or, if you’re planning on wheeling it around the gym floor, movable floor stands are available.
